THEATER IS THE PLACE. THEATRE IS THE ART.
THEATER IS THE PLACE. THEATRE IS THE ART.
my career in professional theatre
For this role, I had to have a funky haircut. A video of my performance is on Broadway World (at 2:20-2:45), but you only see the back of my head! (Shown with Carter Thomas, August 2013).
Here are more pics from the show. And I got a specific mention in this article from the Davis Enterprise.
Loved working with the team from New York. Many of them are now going to be in Allegiance the Musical on Broadway in New York. I can hardly wait to see it!
First mention in Playbill! My first professional gig. I had to sing while in bed (it's really hard). (Shown with Angelina Wahler, December 2011).
Got to perform with fellow StarStruck performers, Rachel Sue and Courtney Stokes!
Even though I'm not Jewish, I've gotten my share of Bar Mitzvahs on stage. So I feel like I'm part Jewish. In this role I got to say a few bad words that my mom does not want me to use at home :-) I also got to work with some really great people, including Starstruck Theatre's choreographer Jeanne Batacan-Harper (who has a really good voice).
my career in youth theatre
My first big role in the outdoor amphitheatre at Ohlone College. This was one of StarStruck's biggest shows -- selling over 4000 tickets! The best part was dying on stage. Lori says it is the longest death scene on record. I think I made people cry, though. This will always be one of my favorite shows.
This was my 3rd time doing this show, and my first time as Wonka (previously I had played Mike Teevee and Charlie). I finally got to perform with both of my siblings, Marissa and Chris.
Now that I've learned a Caribbean accent, I want to learn more! This was also a great opportunity for me to learn to play comedy.
I first saw this show when I was 11, and I thought "This show is so hilarious, I've got to do this show when I'm 13!" And Lori made my dream come true when she posted the auditions for this summer camp show. I've now gotten "Bar Mitzvah"ed in two different shows and I'm not even Jewish. This is one of my favorite songs from the show.
Sierra (plays Patrice) and I happened to be in New York to see Newsies, and got to "sing" our duet on Broadway!
I enjoyed being a part of this premiere for Stagedoor in New York. Here is Pasko's full song, and clips of Pasko from the show.
